Terms of Service

1. Description of Services & Disclaimers

Shared Parenting is a tool designed to help co-parents manage shared custody, track expenses, schedule events, and communicate.

Not Professional Advice: The App is strictly an organizational tool. It does not provide legal, financial, or medical advice. The App is not a substitute for legally binding custody agreements, court orders, or professional mediation. We are not responsible for enforcing court orders or mediating disputes between co-parents.

No Guarantee of Court Admissibility: While the App generates reports (e.g., PDF expense reports) intended to assist you in managing Shared Parenting, we make no representation, warranty, or guarantee that any data, report, or export generated by the App will be admissible as evidence in any court of law, mediation, or legal proceeding. The responsibility for establishing the authenticity, accuracy, and admissibility of any App-generated record rests solely with you and your legal counsel.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use this App. By creating an account, you represent that you are legally permitted to enter into a binding contract and have the legal authority to share information regarding the children added to your account.

3. Account Registration & Security

You may register via email (password or magic link), Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account.

Third-Party Access: You may not share your login credentials with third parties, including attorneys, mediators, or court officials. If you wish to share App records with legal professionals, you must do so using the App's designated export features (e.g., PDF reports). You assume full liability for any data you choose to export and share outside of the App's secure environment.

4. Partnerships and Shared Data

Consent to Share: The core functionality of Shared Parenting relies on "Partnerships." By inviting a co-parent to a Partnership or accepting an invitation, you explicitly consent to sharing data with the members of that Partnership. This includes children's profiles, expenses, calendar events, documents, and messages. You acknowledge that once data is shared within a Partnership, it becomes accessible to your co-parent.

5. Children's Data & Parental Responsibility

You may upload sensitive information about your children, including medical records, ID numbers, and schedules. You warrant that you have the legal right, custody, and necessary consent to upload, manage, and share this information with your co-parent. The App does not collect data directly from children.

6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds

The App offers a free trial period (currently 30 days, subject to change) followed by a paid "SharedParenting Premium" subscription required for continued use.

Payment Processing: All payments, subscriptions, and refunds are handled entirely by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via Google Play). We do not directly collect, process, or store your credit card information.

Cancellations: You must manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting the App or your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

7. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use the App courteously and legally. You must not:

  • Use the App to harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse your co-parent or any other individual.
  • Upload unlawful, explicit, or highly offensive content.
  • Misuse the in-app reporting system by submitting false or malicious reports.
  • Attempt to bypass the App's security or reverse-engineer its software.

Compliance with Court Orders: You agree that you will not use the App to violate any existing court order, restraining order, or protection order. If a court has mandated how, when, or about what you may communicate with your co-parent, it is your sole responsibility to ensure your use of this App complies with those mandates.

8. Blocking, Reporting, and Content Moderation

You may block a co-parent within a Partnership or report inappropriate messages and harassment. We reserve the right to review reported content, suspend or terminate accounts, and dismiss false reports.

9. Content Ownership & Licenses

You retain ownership of the documents, photos, and messages you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display this content specifically for the purpose of operating the App and providing it to your Partnership.

10. Subpoenas and Legal Requests

If we are served with a valid subpoena, court order, or similar legal process requesting records related to your account (including but not limited to chat logs, expense reports, and access logs), we will comply as required by law.

You agree that we may charge administrative fees for the production of these records, including fees for generating Business Records Affidavits, which must be paid prior to the delivery of the documents. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the legal request before disclosing your information, unless we are legally prohibited from doing so. We do not provide expert testimony.

11. Termination and Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time via the App settings.

Anonymization: Upon deletion, your profile data (name, email, phone, photo) is permanently anonymized, and your display name will appear as "Deleted User."

Persistence of Shared Data: For the continuity of the remaining Partnership members, shared data (such as expenses, events, and messages) will remain visible in an anonymized format to your co-parent.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shared Parenting, its developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including data loss, emotional distress, or financial disputes resulting from your use of the App or interactions with your co-parent. The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

13. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tel Aviv, Israel.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification, in-app announcement, or email. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
